In the past week it has finally been feeling a bit like Spring, and we are really enjoying it! We have been spending lots of time outside playing and the sun and warmer weather has been so nice after such a cold winter. The past week temperatures have gotten up to warmer and warmer every day. The snow is melting fast, but we have so much snow still. We were walking in the snow in the backyard and I kept sinking in the snow and the snow was as deep as the length of my legs.

The other day Kyla and I sat out on the front porch playing card games for a long time out in the sun, and it was so nice and relaxing. The temperature was 45 degrees and it felt wonderful! Kyla seems to have spring fever as bad as I do. I have been thinking about how to landscape our yard and planning out my fruit and vegetable garden and just can't wait for all of the snow to melt so that we can get busy on these projects out in the yard. Kyla keeps seeing that snow is melting in a few spots along the highway and has been so excited to see grass, although it is still a long time before it will be turning green. She also has seen snow melting from the roof and keeps telling me that the snow is melting and that it is going to be summer today. I wish.

Kyla saw her water table in my moms basement the other day and convinced me to bring it homw. We had a nice sunny day and she wanted to put it outside to play, so we comprimised and I let her play it in the house instead. It was 50 degrees out, but still not warm enough for that. It currently is light until 9 pm, which is perfect because it starts getting dark right at her bedtime, but soon it will be lighter much later and that is when it gets tricky to get her to bed.

Today we went for a walk to the nearby school, Kyla sat in the jogger and it is just a 10 minute walk that way. We played for a couple hours on the playground at the school and loved every minute of the sun, eventually it clouded up and we headed back home. Kyla really wanted to walk over to the lake too and see if there were any ducks there yet, but I decided to save that for another time this weekend.
