Portraits at Lifetouch with Ethan and ella

Kyla, Ethan and Ella all went to lifetouch today to get some portraits taken with a new background that they are going to start using. The needed a few kids to practice on, so I took all three of them and they were super wound up. We did get a few pictures taken of them between running laps for about an hour around the office. It wasn't the most succesful photo shoot, but we got a few cute ones.

Gymnastics

Kyla ended dance class in anchorage a couple of weeks after we moved to Wasilla, and we got her signed up for gymnastics at a great gymnastics studio near are house. Kyla has really been enjoying her new gymnastics class, it is much more her speed then dance classes were. She is a very strong girl and likes to move, so it is perfect. She has a really nice coach named Robert who is also the owner of the studio and then they have two younger girls who are assistants in the class. She is doing very well in the class. She loves the balance beam, the foam pit, bars and all of the routines that they practice. I love watching her during her weekly class and it is so great seeing how much she improves weekly!

New Years Eve at the Cabin

This year for the third year in a row we spent New Years Eve in Petersville at my parents cabin. The temperature was so cold and Kyla's snowmachine broke down on her first trip out on it, so most of the trip was spent just hanging out in the cabin. We did let off a bunch of fireworks at the cabin two different nights and went to a really good firework show on new years eve. When we left the cabin it was -20 degrees so Kyla had to be bundled in all of her snowgear plus wrapped up completely in a blanket for the ride out to the parking lot. Hopefully by the next time we go up the temperature will be atleast 40 degrees warmer so we can really enjoy being up there.
