We have been having a great Hawaiian vacation!!! We had 11 full days of fun in the sun with family. We have been able to do and see so much on this trip. We spent our first day playing at my sisters house letting the kids play outside all day and then watching fireworks at the beach for the 4th of July, The next day we hung out at the beach at our hotel and went over to the Hilton Lagoon, Kyla and Madeline were not feeling to great that day so they layed in the shade under the umbrella and just relaxed at the beach. The following day we decided to have a nice realxing day so that Kyla and Madeline could get feeling better. We ended up spending the day at my sisters and they played in the pool and slip and slide in the back yard. Jon, Mason and I took the pedal boat out in the marina for a little bit. Then the next three days were beach days!!! We spent one day at Sandy Beach and the kids had a great time playing in the sand and in the ocean. The next day we went to Hanuama Bay and Jon spent almost all day snorkeling and taking under water pictures of the sea life while Marcie, the kids and I hung out on the beach and played in the sand. The following day we went up to the North Shore near where my sister and Chad got married 4 years ago. We went to Sharks Cove where Jon did more snorkeling. It was fun to head north and see more of the Island. The water was so warm where we went so the kids were happy to go out in the ocean and we were able to see lots of fish in the tide pools.

Jon and I decided to spend Saturday morning at Waikiki beach walking down the boardwalk since it was our last day at the hotel before staying with my sister for the remainder of our trip. We also went to a local farmers market and Kyla and Mason had tons of fun playing in the bounce house, it was Kylas first time going in one and she loved it! Sunday was Jon's last day in Hawaii, he had to leave to get to a business confernece in Minnesota. On Jon's last day Kyla decided to take a 4 hour nap!!! So we were not able to do much, but did take a short trip to the beach.

After Jon left we spent the last few days of our trip playing outside, going to the pool and visiting the Sea Life Park. Kyla loved playing in the water at both the pool in my sisters yard and at her sister in laws pool. She is not afraid to go under water and get her face wet. She had a great time playing with the kick board, I think once we are back home we might look into getting her in swim lessons and start taking her to the pool for open swim. We went to the Sea Life Park, which is prety much a mini SeaWorld and had a good time seeing all the sea life. It was a very hot day so we spent much of our time there in the shade watching the Sea Lion Show, Dolphin show and in the indoor aquarium. Our final day in Hawaii we spent most of the day at the beach, went out to eat and saw part of the filming of pirates of the carribean 4 at a near by beach. The last night in Hawaii I had a slumber party with all three kids in Madelines bedroom. There were 4 of us sharing two twin size beds.

Kyla had such a wonderful time playing with her cousins Mason and Madeline. She loved their small backyard pool and slip and slide and all of their toys. She also loved playing in the sand at the beach, and every once in awhile felt daring enough to go in and enjoy the ocean. The ocean water was very warm but she still was not to thrilled about going in. Kyla has adapted well to the cold Alaskan weather and does not do well in really hot weather, it seems to really make her tired.
Kyla will see her cousins for another week in a week and a half when they are up in alaska. It is too bad that they live so far apart, but atleast they live in a fun place that we enjoy visiting! Jon and I have taken one trip a year to Hawaii since getting married five years ago and now have even more reason to take more trips to Hawaii.
