We spent the day in Palmer with family and had a great time! We visited with my cousins Susie, Emily, Rosie, Sydne and her husband Ryan (who were visiting from Texas) and Emily's four childen and Sydne's baby. They had the pool rented out for an hour to play in the pool with the kids. Kyla had not been swimming since last summer, but had a great time in the water. She stayed in the pool for the full time we were there. she really liked being in the shallow area where she could stand and play with toys. When we got out of the water she told me she wanted to come back another day. I think we will try taking her to the pool closer to our house occasionally and maybe even try swim lessons again soon. There is also a great indoor waterpark near us that I want to go to soon.
After swimming and a snack we went over to the Stable where my cousin Susie works and boards her horse Skyler. The kids got to walk around and look at all the horses in the stable and then they got the horses Skyler and Bonnie brushed and saddled up for a ride. All of the kids got to take turns riding the horses two at a time. This was the first time that Kyla has rode a horse, she has always just rode ponies before. She was very happy and excited to ride Skyler, but during the ride was very serious and quiet. We had such a good time visiting with everyone and meeting Sydne's son Bradley. The weather was great too, it was 77 degrees when we got into the car to go home. We can't wait to visit with them again and go for another ride on Susie's horse when my sister is in town with her kids.
