The past three days we have been busy baking Christmas candies and cookies for friends and family. My mom and I have made at least ten different kinds of goodies and we are now sugared out. Jon and Kyla have been very eager taste testers and have approved of all of the goodies that we have made.
We took a few breaks from baking to play out in the snow since it had finally warmed up to around 30 degrees, which feels very warm compared to the frigid cold temperatures we have had. I was actually outside without a coat on. We are looking forward to lots of outside time tommorrow since Jon will be home all day! Kyla would stay outside in the snow all day if we would let her.
The next week and a half Jon will be off work and we will get to spend a lot of time together. We are going to leave Kyla with my mom on Sunday while we go skiing and out to eat for Jons Birthday. It will be only the second time ever that I have left her for more than just an hour or so while I run errands. The last time I left her for several hours was with Jons parents in Hawaii while we went to the North Shore. Jon wanted to stay the night at the resort Saturday night, but with Kyla being such an awful sleeper I am not ready to leave her overnight yet. But we will still get out and have a great time for Jon's Birthday.
After Jons Birthday we plan to go up to my parents cabin to have fun and celebrate New Years Eve and my Step Dads Birthday. We have lots of Holidays packed in the next week, Christmas, New Years and Two Birthdays!
