Horse Riding

We went out to Palmer so that my Madeline and Mason could have an opportunity to go horse back riding. Madeline had never rode on a horse before and had been talking about doing so for a very long time, so we went to ride my cousin susie;s horse Skylar. We also met our cousin Emily there with her four kids. This time we rode the horse in the indoor arena. The kids all had a lot of fun riding Skylar, except for Madeline who did not want anything to do with the horse. After all of the kids had rode the horse she finally did get on the horse and ride it for a minute. The last time that I took Kyla to Palmer to ride Susie's horse they also had the swimming pool rented out and we went swimming with all my cousins and their kids, so this time after Kyla had finished riding the horse she told me she was ready to go swimming now.

Fun with Mason and Madeline

Kyla, Mason and Madeline had a great three weeks of playing with eachother. We were always busy doing something and they had so much fun every minute of it.

Slip 'n' Slide Fun!

We were lucky to have pretty nice weather a lot of the time that Mason and Madeline were in town and the kids were able to spend lots of time outside playing. One night we got the Slip 'n' Slide out and Kyla and Mason had a blast playing outside on it. The water was very cold, but I was suprised how much time they still spent playing on it. They liked running down it and jumping into the little pool at the end just as much as they liked sliding down it. They had so much fun, Madeline was not interested in joining them until as soon as I took them inside and got them dry and changed and then she said she wanted to go on the slip n slide.

Slumber Party

Kyla, Mason and Madeline were so excited to have a slumber party. They were going to be all sleeping together for five nights in the motorhome while fishing at the Kenai and another three night at the cabin, but they could not wait that long so we had a slumber party at Grandma's too. They had mine and Marcies old smurfs and strawberry shortcake sleeping bags, watched a movie and fell asleep on the floor in the living room. Kyla was so excited that she could not sleep even after Mason and Madeline had already gone to sleep, I think it was almost midnight before she finally fell asleep. Mason had made glow in the dark signs that sleep over to have out "so they would know where to go".

Bounce house

Kyla, Mason, Madeline, Ethan and Ella all had a wonderful time at Pump It Up Bouncehouse. I had never taken Kyla to a bounce house before, she had just started liking the blow up bounce houses at carnivals and festivals. They all had so much fun and were going full speed the entire time that we were there. Kyla and Madeline really liked climbing one that had two slides off of it, they would climb up together and then one would go to one slide and one to the other to race down and do it again. It was amazing how much energy they all had their to play as hard as they did.

Imaginarium with Mason and Madeline

My sister and I took Kyla, Mason and Madeline to the Imaginarium to play. They all had alot of fun and did not want to leave. They had a great time with all of the activities. They were so interested in everything there and did not miss a thing. Kyla really liked blowing bubbles and standing inside of the giant bubble. She also really liked petting the Sea Creatures in the Sea Life Exhibit, she touched Sea Urchins, Star Fish and even a baby King Crab. She also really liked pumping hot air into a small hot air balloon to make it fly and the arts and crafts area. We always have such a great time at the Imaginarium and there is so much fun stuff there for kids to explore and learn about.

Zoo

My Sister and I went to the zoo with Kyla, Mason, Madeline, Ethan and Ella. It was a bit of a handfull taking five kids to the zoo, but they had fun. Kyla liked sitting in the double stroller (which is funny, because she has never liked strollers) so I had to push both Ella and Kyla around on the gravel path which was not very easy. Mason and Madeline had never been to the Alaska Zoo, so it was fun for them to see all of the Alaskan animals.

Bubblebath in the Jacuzzi

Kyla, Mason and Madeline had the best bath ever in Grandma's Jacuzzi. They had so many bubbles and toys in the tub. None of them wanted to get out of the bath and the rest of the time that Mason and Madeline were there they only wanted to take baths in the jacuzzi.

Happy 4th of July

Jon, Kyla and I went to the 4th of July Parade downtown. We all really enjoyed watching the parade and Kyla loved waving and waving her flag at everyone who went by us.
