On Friday Jon, Kyla and I went to Colony Days in Palmer and met up with my cousin Ashley. Kyla loves Ashley and whenever I even say Ashley;s name Kyla says "I like Ashley", it is very cute. I had never been to the festival before, it was a really neat place. Kyla had so much fun! She played in a bounce house, a blowup obstacle coarse and a blow up frog that was full of balloons blowing around inside of it. She really liked the bounce house. She was a little hesitant about the obstacle coarse, but once Ashley said she would go with her she liked it and the frog she was not at all interested in and then all of a sudden she just had to go in it to play. Kyla also got a balloon, a butterfly balloon, got to decorate a kazoo with stickers and got to get her face painted. There were so many fun activities for her!

There was a fun little petting zoo at Colony days too. We got Kyla food to feed them and got to feed and pet goats, geese and a llama. She loves animals!

We also got to meet up for lunch with Aunt Lynn for her lunch break. It was a very fun day in Palmer. We love going to different Children's festivals.

Mani/Pedi

Kyla LOVES to have her fingernails and toenails painted. She asks almost everyday to have them painted, even when they are already painted. She has a lot of nail polish colors to choose from and now her favorite thing is to have each nail painted a different color. Today she was taking a bath and said to me "When I get out of the bath I want to get my nails done".

Kincaid Park Secret Beach

Memorial Day Jon, Kyla and I went on a walk at Kincaid Park down to the secret beach. The weather was beutiful, it was sunny with not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was near 70 degrees. The half an hour walk to the beach was very nice, Kyla did well hiking down there and collected a bouquet of dandelions on the way there. Once we got down to the beach we found a sandy area to sit down and have a picnic on the beach.

Where we went is the beach of the inlet. We made sure to go when the tide was out to be safe, you can only play around out there when the tide is out and you have to be sure to leave before high tide. With the tide out we were able to go walk around in the mud and some shallow water. Kyla loved the warm slippery mud on her feet and had a lot of fun wading in the water. The hot weather wore Kyla out and Jon had to carry her back to the car, uphill the entire way.

We had a lot of fun at Kincaid and before we even had left Kyla was asking to come back again. She really liked the mud and water. It did not even feel like we were in Alaska while we were sitting on the beach in swimsuits in hot weather.

Playing at Grandma's House

Kyla loves to play with Grandma in the greenhouse and outside in the yard. She has been helping plant all the vegetables in the garden and greenhouse, water the plants and even helped weed the flower beds. Kyla helped plants the carrots, radishes, turnips, potatoes, onions, beets, peas, broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini in the garden.

We have had very nice weather the past two weeks and I have not been babysitting Ethan and Ella the last two weeks either, so we have spent lots of time over at Grandma's playing outside. She loves going over to play in her sandbox, water table, swimming pool, ride around on her bike or in her car and play yard games.

Huffman Park

Kyla LOVES to go to parks so much!!! We go to a park almost everyday and Kyla is usually the one who decides which park we go to. We went to Huffman Elementary Park for her first time this weekend, Huffman is where I went to Elementary School. Kyla had a lot of fun at the park and Grandma came with us. Kyla had a great time going up and down all of the slide, she always plays with older kids at the park and has learned from them how fun it is to go up the slides.

Kyla really liked climbing up everything at the park, she loves climbing up all the fun ladders and fun things on the play structures. They had a toy that was a large circle with all different levels of platforms to climb around on. Kyla loved it, she climbed on that going around and around and around again. She has such a great time every time we go to the park, but you can not get her to leave without carrying her to the car kicking and screaming.
